2012 Naugatuck River Valley Race

Registration is open for the 2012 Naugatuck River Kayak and Canoe Race that is just part of the festivities of Saturday May 5th including a Charity Duck Race and River Festival, Live Music by CT's own Route Six band, Local Food Vendors participating in The Taste of Beacon Falls, Elock the Clown, A Bounce house, Sky Dancers, Float/ Sea Plane Rides (fee), Raffle Prizes, Crafts and Vendors, new this year "Beer" Vendor at the Finish Line River Festival and we will be giving away a bunch of stuff off of the stage. This year we will also have food and beverages available on Platts Mill Road before the start of the race provided by "Johnny's" of Waterbury formally known as "The Bagel Station", either way please patronize our vendors as they will have done some hard work to provide for the racers, friends and families. Tell your friends!

Don't wait to register, do it very soon, as we can only assure that racers that pre-register get the official race shirts, others will be first come first serve. Clean up Day! The official Annual Pre- Race river Clean-up date is Saturday April 14th, All you need is a Box of trash Bags some work Gloves and any one that would want to be part of the floating clean up team please just show up with your boat and please be sure to have a life jacket on as we float down to the Right side of the River below the Naugatuck Train Station (this years area of attention) to help clean from the Maple street bridge and up this year both side if we can, together we can make a difference, the area town's will be notified so we can leave the trash bags neatly on the sides of main roads and they will be picked up. Please pass the word and the more help the better!
